EPIC™ Helmet Pad Suspension System

Team Wendy’s EPIC™ (Enhanced Protection, Individual Comfort) system represents a revolution in helmet pad protection and comfort. EPIC™ consists of a single, one-piece protective impact liner and 22 additional soft comfort pads that give the wearer total control of adjustability and fit. The comfort pads are provided in four shapes (oblong, trapezoid, tapered trapezoid and triangle) and two thicknesses (3/16-inch “thin” and 3/8-inch “thick”). The comfort pad set also includes four Ultra Grip™ pads for added stability and two “wringable” sweat bands for moisture absorption. EPIC’s design offers a significant increase in protection at high-G impacts without adversely affecting weight or heat dissipation. EPIC™ employs the same Zorbium® foam proven through years of service in Team Wendy's standard ZAP™ products and fits all tactical, ballistic Ground Combat helmets. The ZAP™ Replacement Kit contains everything needed to completely replace any pad suspension system with a ZAP™ pad system. The kit includes a complete set of 7 ZAP™ pads; 1 circular crown pad (NSN 8470-01-546-9415), 2 trapezoid pads (NSN 8470-01-546-9407), 4 oblong pads (NSN 8470-01-546-9356), 18 velcro hook disks, 6 alcohol wipes and an illustrated instruction manual (Kit replaces previous Hook Kit).

H-Style Chinstrap

The Team Wendy H-Style Chinstrap includes a padded H-style nape and a padded chin cup (standard web anti-chafe, anti-microbial cup included as well). Both the chin and nape pads are made of the same Zorbium® material that makes our helmet pads the leader in impact resistance. The chinstrap is offered in two sizes – Small/Medium (labeled Small) and Large/X-Large (labeled Large). The chin cup is reversible for left-hand/right-hand shooting configuration. Attachment points are nylon reinforced and compatible with current standard issue ACH, LWH and ECH hardware, as well as most other common tactical helmets. The chinstrap is constructed using 5/8-inch webbing with anti-chafe, anti-microbial sleeves, and meets all ACH, LWH and ECH retention test performance requirements.

Cool Seat

Team Wendy's Cool Seat offers a comfort seat and a cooling system all in one. The seat integrates the impact and shock absorption qualities of ZFR (Zorbium® Fire Retardant) foam with a passive, non-toxic phase-change cooling cell. The system is capable of maintaining 80 F in ambient temperatures as high as 130 F for up to six hours, helping to manage core body temperature and mitigate heat-related stress and injury. The cell requires no refrigeration - "charging" is accomplished simply by placing the seat in ambient, air conditioned surroundings. The net effect is the ultimate in comfort in even the harshest environments. Also available in a Pilot Cut.
