When the Team Wendy® SAR helmet debuted a little over five years ago, it was the first of its kind to provide critical tactical features in a helmet that meets multiple protective standards and certifications required in the environments faced by the search and rescue community.
Team Wendy introduced the SAR in 2015 after learning FEMA workers used several different helmets depending on environmental situations. We integrated many of their most important needs into a single helmet, which is why it's used by 100% of U.S. federal FEMA teams, including some of the largest fire departments.
