Does Team Wendy have a Test and Evaluation / Demo program?

How do I become a dealer for Team Wendy products?

Send us an email at customerservice@teamwendy.com with your information and desire to become a dealer. We will send you a dealer application to complete and send back to us for consideration. 

Does Team Wendy Comply with California Proposition 65 (Prop 65)?

Yes, at Team Wendy we use the Prop 65 short form warning on product packaging and on our website. We also request notification of Prop 65 chemicals on all purchase orders from suppliers. 
 
Please note that the warning does not mean our products will cause cancer or reproductive harm. Prop 65 may be best defined as a “Right to Know” law, and Prop 65 warnings are not an indication that a product is violating safety standards or regulations. View our Prop 65 Policy Statement.

How do I sign up for a new account? 

You can sign up for an account on our new ecommerce store at shop.teamwendy.com. 

Why did I get an email about ID verification?

Team Wendy asks to verify your identity for all ballistic helmet purchases, orders over $1,000 USD and select other orders at our discretion. After your order is submitted, you may receive an email that will walk you through the verification process. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

Does Team Wendy sell internationally?

Yes, Team Wendy does sell internationally. We have a network of dealers throughout the world that is continually growing. To find an international dealer near you, please visit our Authorized Dealers page or email us at info@teamwendy.com.

For ecommerce customers, we only ship to US addresses and APOs. We do not ship to freight forwarders or PO boxes.

Does Team Wendy offer a military or law enforcement discount for ecommerce orders?

Team Wendy is proud to offer a standing 15% discount to all active-duty and veteran military, police and SAR operators who are buying on an individual basis only. This discount – which is something we have offered for many years – is available all year round, so qualified customers don’t have to wait for our sitewide sales to get a reduced price. This discount is available to US customers only as we do not ship ecommerce orders internationally. 
 
To apply for our pro deal program, send an email to info@teamwendy.com from your government/department-issued email address. A customer care representative will forward it to the right member of our team for approval. Once your active-duty status has been verified, you’ll have unlimited access to savings across our site.

What types of payment are accepted when making an online purchase? 

Online purchases can be made through your PayPal account or with a valid credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. 

PLEASE NOTE: Credit card orders placed on TeamWendy.com that exceed $1,000 in value will be subject to identity verification. 

Do you accept debit cards for online purchases?

Yes, debit cards that are backed by either Visa or Mastercard are accepted. 

How do I make a purchase with a government issued credit card?

You should be able to place your order on our website. If it is declined it may be due to how your government credit card is coded. If you are having issues, please contact info@teamwendy.com for further assistance. 

I have an APO/FPO/DPO address - how do I place an order?

Our website will accept orders that have an APO/FPO/DPO address. When you checkout, enter your shipping address information as follows: 

  • Enter your full name  

  • Enter your grade, unit or box number 

  • Use the second address line for additional information if needed. 

         Example: 
         142nd MP Co 
         Unit 15254, Box 367 

  • City must be entered as "APO",  "FPO" or "DPO" 

  • State must be selected as "AA", "AE" or "AP" 

  • Zip code must be 5 digits, or use a dash if entering as zip+4 

  • Country must be "United States" 

  • Shipping method for APO, FPO or DPO addresses is USPS Priority Mail Military 

Why can't I see the shipping method I want when placing my order online?

Depending on your location, only those shipping options for your area/location will display. 

How soon will my order ship?

I need to return product for an exchange or refund. How do I do that?

If you are not satisfied with your Team Wendy product and purchased it on TeamWendy.com, you may return it within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Returns will only be accepted if the item is unused, in its original condition and its original packaging. See instructions in Return Policy. 

 
NOTE: If you purchased your item/s from a Team Wendy dealer (list of authorized dealers), you must contact them to coordinate the return/exchange, and their return policy will apply.

Helmet Inquiries

What are the differences between the Backcountry and the Tactical?

SAR Tactical comes with a Wilcox machined aluminum NVG insert while the Backcountry comes with the plastic reinforced insert. With the SAR Tactical you can confidently attach your NVGs on the front shroud whereas the backcountry is meant for lights, action cameras, etc.

The SAR Tactical comes with a chin cup retention which we recommend if attaching NVG’s to the shroud and for swift water rescue situations. The SAR Backcountry comes with a sports style retention, think bicycle retention.

What kind of lifespan can I except with a SAR helmet?

With annual thorough check ups of all hardware and nothing visibly broken, the SAR can easily last 7-10 years.

Am I able to replace the BOA headband inside my SAR?

Yes, we offer this item for sale, please contact us at info@teamwendy.com for purchasing.

Is the SAR NFPA certified?

The SAR was designed to meet a wide variety of protection standards relevant to search and rescue operations, but since it is not intended for structural firefighting, it can provide more ventilation, a lighter weight, and other protective capabilities not covered by NFPA

SAR does meet requirements of:

  • NFPA 1952 Impact Acceleration
  • NFPA 1951 / 1952 Penetration Resistance

Ultimately the SAR does not meet NFPA 1951 or 1952

Liner System Inquiries

I need to wash my Team Wendy helmet liner pads. What’s the best way to do that?

All of our liner system pads (CloudLine®, EPIC Air®, EPIC® and ZAP™) can be removed and hand washed with a mild soap. Allow pads to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not wash in a washing machine.

Will your helmet liner systems fit an OpsCore FAST helmet?

All of our liner systems will fit the Ops-Core FAST helmet, but typically require replacing the FAST retention system (chinstrap) as well, because it is integrated with the FAST liner. We recommend the CloudLine® System or EPIC Air® Liner System and CAM FIT™ Retention System . Most customers prefer this combination in the FAST shell. 

Will your helmet liner systems fit a Crye AirFrame™ helmet?

Team Wendy's EPIC Air® Liner System and  ZAP™ Liner Systems  will fit a Crye Airframe™ helmet.

Retention Systems/Chinstrap Inquiries

I need to replace the chin strap on my EXFIL® helmet. Will the ones you sell on your website fit?

No. The liners and retention systems in all Team Wendy EXFIL® helmets are integrated, and cannot be replaced in the field. If your chin strap on a Team Wendy helmet needs to be replaced, please email us at info@teamwendy.com or call 216.738.2518.

Do you sell retention systems for left-handers?

Yes, we currently offer an LED (left eye dominant) option on the EXFIL®Ballistic SL and EXFIL®Ballistic helmets, as well as on our CAM FIT Retention System

Will your CAM FIT™ Retention System fit my Crye AirFrame helmet?

Yes, we make a CAM FIT Retention System that is compatible with most common shell types, including the following: ACH/MICH, FAST, AirFrame™, USMC LWH and PASGT. See our retention systems page for sizing information.

Will your retention systems fit my Ops-Core FAST helmet?

Yes, our retention systems fit the Ops-Core FAST helmets; however, the ballistic-rated hardware included in our CAM FIT  and CAM FIT H-Back Retention Systems  is not long enough to go through both the rail and shell. We recommend saving the hardware from the original Ops-Core system and using it to install the Team Wendy retention or purchasing the CAM FIT ARC Rail Hardware Kit. See our retention systems page for this hardware kit and for retention sizing information.
