Education & Live Helmet Shoots
Team Wendy is dedicated to enhancing your understanding of ballistic education through live helmet demonstrations and virtual learning opportunities. Here, we outline the process and equip you with the necessary information to either host or participate in such an event.

Shoot Programs
Tier 1
Our largest event spans a full day of activities, typically running from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It kicks off with a two-hour meet-and-greet with industry professionals, followed by a 90-minute ballistic performance presentation. After lunch (courtesy of Team Wendy), attendees witness a live helmet shooting demo, culminating in the “EPICTM Shootout” competition—where the winning agency selects an EPICTM series helmet.
Tier 2
This is our second-level event for those looking for a less logistically demanding event with an emphasis on ballistic education and viewing a live helmet shoot demonstration. This is a 3-hour event that consists of 1.5 hours of classroom instruction and 1.5 hours of live demonstration.
Tier 3
This event is a virtual event, where our team will host a video presentation and conduct a live Q&A with a member of the sales team or the product specialist team. This is a 1-hour event that can be sent via Teams email and virtually takes you through a live training demonstration on ballistic performance.
Rules of Engagement
- Strict Safety Protocols: Every shoot is conducted under controlled conditions with full adherence to live-fire safety standards.
- Varied Ammunition: We use a range of rounds to show how helmets perform under different velocities and impact energies, from lower-speed threats to high-velocity impacts.
- Use of the NOCSAE Head Form: We shoot helmets on the most biofidelic head form available to simulate how a human head and the helmet would respond to ballistic impact.
- Comprehensive Impact Zones: Helmets are shot in the front, left, right, top, and back to demonstrate consistent performance across all critical areas.
- Genuine Performance: Our Headstrong shoots are created to authentically showcase our product’s performance in real-world conditions.
We’ve chosen to keep the spotlight on our own helmets, ensuring the visuals remain focused, respectful, and aligned with the intent of the series.
