A live-fire demonstration and technical overview of rifle-rated ballistic helmet performance, utilizing the Team Wendy RIFLETECH™ Helmet System to demonstrate how high-velocity threats interact with modern ballistic protection systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding Resistance to Penetration (RTP) and how ballistic helmet performance directly impacts officer survivability during real-world engagements.
Attendees will receive a breakdown of key ballistic concepts, including V50 testing, projectile behavior, and the performance differences between aramid and UHMWPE helmet construction. The course will also clarify modern ballistic protection terminology, including HG1/HG2 and RF1/RF2 classifications, and explain how current standards compare to legacy ballistic ratings. Additional discussion will address the practical differences between helmet protection and rifle plate armor systems.
A controlled live-fire demonstration will reinforce these concepts and allow attendees to observe the real-world ballistic performance, capabilities, and limitations of the RIFLETECH™ helmet system.
